Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This light bulb, also known as a drum lamp, illuminates and lights up the dryer drum when the door is open. If the light bulb in the dryer is burnt out or lighting is inconsistent, replacing it can solve this problem. No tools are required for this replacement. To repair, first locate the top section in the interior of the dryer and check the bulb. Next, unscrew the bulb by making three to four turns. Pro tip: the bulb cannot be screwed straight in, instead lean it at a 45-degree angle. Refer to the diagram provided by the manufacturer for further instruction and guidance. Remember to unplug the dryer from the power source for your safety.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Easy repair
The section for finding your appliance model was helpful for me because I wanted to make sure, what I order will be correct and I didn't have to return. First time, and a sure fit. Also, helpful for the video. Yes, changing a bulb is easy but I wouldn't think to unplug the appliance, that's helpful. I will trust all of my replacement with this company. Shipment was fast.

Drum lamp
The lamp arrived in perfect condition . It is a bit difficult to install because it has to be inserted at a 45 degree angle but , once it was in , it worked great .

Let there be light
Order this bulb for my dryer, I ordered 3 of the bulbs the product was sent fast and on time, the only thing I thought was that they shipped each bulb in a box with with bubble wrap and then placed all 3 boxes in a large bubble sized envelope, They could of saved on shipping by wrapping all three bulbs together in one box instead of 3. Other than that great product.

Dryer was over heating and shutting off after like 5 minutes, the back was hot to touch..got the cycling thermostat problem solved
4 screws to open it up,pull out the wheel and there it is on back . Pretty easy..
Diagnostics, ordered front and back bearing. Added the belt because I was there. Parts came quickly. disassembled, shot photos of wire assemblies. Unprepared for element and lint trap housing failure as the heating element was only 1/2 functional, made followup ordered which included the green and white shims. Note, front bearing replace

Install would have been easier if part was an exact fit. Had to make do with part not fitting exact. Let's just say the dryer works but light won't line up.
Ordered parts and installed with YOUTUBE video. Model A little different than showed online, There was a Metal protector over the Door switch that need to be taken off before switch could be located. After detachment of dryer door, easily pushed the seal to one side to dislocate the metal protector. Would of took 30 mi

This is more a word of caution than instructions. The inlet control thermostat should be around 100 k ohms at room temp not 10 k ohms as I was quoted. I ordered one and after receiving it found out the "faulty" one and the new one were only 2 ohms difference.
The center outlet thermistor should also be around 120 k ohms at ro

The drum bearing slides made a huge improvement!!
For the first time trying to repair an appliance I'd say the whole thing went fairly well, but with my mechanical and electronics backgrounds I did have an advantage. The hardest part was figuring out how to get the thing apart to get inside in the first place.
After speaking with your representative and him explaining how to me how simple it would be to switch out this light socket myself. I went on y tube went through the instructions and had to go buy a new dryer. And before you jump to any conclusions I can and do repair and and all of things around my house. I will NEVER purchase anythin

Now not only am I out the money I paid your company but I’m out the money I shelled out for a whole new dryer. I am a very angry customer and I would never recommend you to anyone!!! EVER!!!
Dryer was making very loud squeak/Squealing sounds on a consistent basis.
Fortunately I was able to watch the diy videos posted by your company which were very easy to understand. I took the dryer apart as instructed on the video and identified which parts required replacement. I ordered all the parts from you and as soon as I received everything I installed the parts and had the dryer back together in just abo

I took out the old bulb and as soon as i tried to put the new bulb in it exploded. I didn't unplug the dryer as i have never had to unplug my previous dryer to change the bulb. Why would it do that?
For model number GTD45EASJ2WS
Hello Susan, Thank you for your inquiry. You'd have to check with an electrician to be sure but for safety reasons, you should always unplug your dryer before changing the light bulb as there still could be an electrical charge in the circuit. Hope this helps!
