It is found at the end of the auger assembly where it is responsible for cutting into the ground. It is normal for the blade to wear down and become dull. A dull blade will not be able to cut through the soil effectively, leading to slower performance and decreased precision. The blade may also bend or break if it accidentally impacts hard objects. This presents a safety risk as the blade may dislodge while in use. Remove the fasteners which hold the old blade in place and pull off the blade. You may need to detach the auger bit to access the blade. Align the new blade with the auger shaft and secure it in position.
