Easy repair.
Box was a little beaten up and the part creased but it installed on the freezer door easily and solved the frost problem. Contrary to instructions it was not necessary to remove the freezer drawer to remove the old gasket and install the replacement. This was a ten minute job.

Easy to install.
When the gasket arrived it’s box was crushed and torn partially open. The gasket was compressed and not easily decompressed. It appears that the gasket has decompressed enough to end thee appearance of ice outside the freezer drawer.

GETTING WATER IN BOTTEN OF FREEZER
For model number LG LFX25950SW
Hello Jack, Thank you for your inquiry. Check the drain tube in the bottom of the freezer to see if it's clogged or frozen, and there should be a connector in the bottom of the freezer as well. Check the drain pan to see if it has any water in it. Good luck with your repair.
Can a bad freezer door gasket cause the evaporator to ice up?
For model number Lfxc24726
Hello Ian, thank you for reaching out. Yes, if the door gasket is damaged or not creating a reliable seal, humid air can leak into the freezer. When this humid air passes over the cold evaporator coils, it condenses and freezes on the coils. We hope this information is useful!
