I removed the crisper drawer and then removed the two screws holding the broken slide rail. Replaced the slide rail and reinstalled the screws. Very easy to remove/install and the crisper drawer opens and closes perfectly.
1st I unscrewed the side rails after I removed the drawer. I saved the screws and both rails until I received the new ones. There were 2 screws in each side. 2nd I looked online at the parts select web page. The exploded diagrams were extreemly helpful. Like most people my appliance book does not have this feature. I ordered the 2 rails for the drawer on Sunday morning and the parts were here by Wednesday afternoon..very good service in my opinion. I then proceeded to replace the two side rails with the screws that I saved from dismantling them. I then put the drawer back into the refrigerator and it worked perfectly. This repair was easy and it saved me a $60.00+ dollar service call and a longer wait period to get the repair done! I will continue to use part select.com for all my appliance repair work. Thanks
crisper drawer would not stay in place on right side
I removed food from shelf over crisper drawer, then removed shelf and crisper drawer, removed two phillips head screws in right side rail and replaced rail.
First take all your junk off the shelf (with the broken rail of course), take the glass shelf off. Remove screws (phillips). Throw away old rail. Replace new rail, tighten screws. Replace shelf, replace junk. You're done.
Rails on crisper drawers broke. Drawers were crooked and difficult to open and close. Lived with this for TWO YEARS!
Removed each drawer and removed two screws for each rail. Disposed of old rails. Installed new ones using the screws removed from old rails. Put drawers back in and VOILA! Crisper drawers that work! AMEN PARTSELECT!
removed drawer, unscrewed old slide, screwed on new slide, voila! finished! I was very pleased with PartSelect -- ordering was easy, the correct part came quickly, and packaged very well. All of life should work so smoothly!
My husband took out the old icemaker in about 5 minutes. The new icemaker was a perfect fit even though the refrigerator was >10yrs old. The only difficult part was the plug extension that was needed so that it would fit into an older appliance. The part was included, it just made the cord about 3 inches longer than it needed to. After working with it for about 20 minutes we were able to fit it on the back side of the icemaker. Now it works great!!
I had to remove the food off the shelves, then i had to had to remove the shelves. I then took the refrigerator door off. I then removed the bins and removed the broken drawer rails. I then cleaned the area where the bins were. I then installed the new rails and put back the bins. I then reinstalled the refrigerator door and all the shelves. Last was putting all the food back in. Everything went very well.
I took out the drawer and the glass shelf. All that was required after that was to unscrew the old part and replace it with the new one using the old screws. Very easy!
I used a short Phillips screwdriver to remove 2 screws that held the broken left slide rail in place. Then I screwed the new part in place. Really, really easy!
