Baker Element burned out
Really easy process. First I unplugged the oven for safety then I proceeded to remove the 2 screws that were holding the old element in place. Next I removed the old element then installed the new one. After installing the two screws I connect the oven back to its power source and BANG!............. It works like a charm
I turned off the circuit breaker to the range. Next I removed the two screws that fastened the element to the rear of the oven. Then I pulled the element out far enough to be able to reach the spade clips and disconnected the element. I connected the replacement element to the clips and fastened it to the rear of the oven with the two screws. I turned the circuit braker on and the element functioned properly.
Removed the old element by sliding the wires attached to it. Unscrew 2 screws, slide the new one to the wirings and put the 2 screws back. It works. Praise the Lord.
First unplugged the stove, then removed the screws holding the element in place. Next I pulled the element out until the wires were visible and unplugged them. After removing the old element, I plugged the new one in and positioned it with the screws. Plug the stove back in and done.
Really easy--unscrew screws, pull element out, unclip wire connection. Re-clip to new burner, put back in--done. Saved a $100 tech trip PLUS double mark up on part!
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires, replaced witht he new element
Removed the racks first. Then removed the two screws that held the element in place. I then pulled the element out about three inches exposing the connecting wires. Each wire has a female slide type connector just disconect each one and then connected the new element . Attach new element by reptacing the two screws.
I watched my husband do this repair so if it happens again I can do it myself. He removed the screws holding the element in place, unplugged the element, plugged the new element in and replaced the screws. I am so glad I found your site. The posted pictures and measurements made finding the exact part a breeze and the element arrived in a couple of days. We saved a bundle!! Thanks.
Shut off the power at breaker to range, removed the screws and pulled out the element a few inches to disconnect the wires .Connected wires to new element., screwed it back into oven wall. It's a snap!
Repair was simple. Unplugged stove, removed a plate from back of stove. Disconnected wiring. Removed screws from inside oven, removed old element, installed new element. Replaced screws, hooked up wiring, replaced back plate, plugged it in, used it that night. Thanks for sending the right part the first time and getting it shipped so quickly.
Try to buy new unit from local dealer, was told unit was too old. Went on line to Part Select and found part needed and ordered part. When part came, I removed two screws from in oven and four screws from back of range, discorrected two wire leads from bake unit, removed old unit and installed new unit, connected wires, reinstalled back cover, and installed bake unit to oven with two remaining screws. Job done, oven is now working. The part costs with shipping was around $33.00, new oven $600.00. Thanks Part Select.
