No ice
Removed the cover plates and unplugged bad boards. Hard to plug in boards after attached to cover plates. Plug in boards first then attach to mounts. Ice in 4 hours.
water filter not seating properly to allow water flow, replace filter housing.
Turned off water to frig and unplugged power. Removed screws holding water valve in back of frig in order to release water line going to water filter housing. Removed screws holding water filter housing in front of frig and disconnected two water lines going to water filter housing. Removed water filter housing and replaced with new. Reattached the two water lines to the new filter housing and remounted with two screws. Reattached water line to fill valve and remounted fill valve. Plugged frig back in and tested water flow out of water dispenser, good flow now to water dispenser and ice maker.
Just as shown on your video. The refrigerator side was not sitting even, clunked and did not seal right. I decided to do.both sides, refrigerator and freezer while I was at it as our refrigerator is about 16 years old. Everything went in easily and saved us a lot of money. Very happy with the parts and repair video. Got the refrigerator nice and cleaned out while we were at it..Us and the refrigerator are breathing easier now..Yeepppeee....
Well, somehow when I replaced the water filter I turned and don’t suppose to so, it did started licking.
First, I watched the video the sale agent sent it to me. Then I decided to do it myself, I’m a 62 woman that I like to show myself how smart we are as a human being, thanks God! It took me less than 30 minutes to make it work!!!!
There was no water in the icemaker tray to freeze into ice cubes
Took off the rear cardboard cover, unscrewed the old valve, checked to see if there was enough tubing to fit if I cut the tubing. removed the 2 electric connectors, Cut the tubing 3, installed the 2 electric plugs, inserted the 3 tubes, mounted the new valve, replaced the cardboard cover. I checked for leaks, and very soon heard the valve filling the icemaker tray, and soon, Ice cubes again.
I carefully matched the model number to replacement part cross-reference and ordered the Part. You-tube instructions were accurate except for the plug wire that prevented removal of the auger motor. It took significant maneuvering to drop the old motor. The new motor fit in better but the male plug configuration did not match the female plug from the refrigerator.
A lot of wasted effort and time as well as expense! What good is matching replacement parts when the replacement is not correct?
Top half of freezer & fridge were not cooling. Freezer fan had been making unusually loud noises.
Piece of cake. It took me longer to remove the food from the freezer, remove shelves and back panel than to do the repair. I heard the fan making some noises so I replaced both the fan and defrost thermostat. I used the instructions submitted by a another customer. My 20+ year old fridge is like new now.
The holder is held in place with two screws. Once you have it unscrewed you can snap the old sockets out and replace them.
Ordered new sockets and presto, the lights work again. They just snapped into the holder and the holder went up with two screws. HINT: I did take a photo of the 4 electrical connectors AND labeled each one with a Sharpie 1, 2, 3, and 4 from left to right.
