Left drawer slide rail was cracked.
I took out the drawer and the glass shelf. All that was required after that was to unscrew the old part and replace it with the new one using the old screws. Very easy!
I used a short Phillips screwdriver to remove 2 screws that held the broken left slide rail in place. Then I screwed the new part in place. Really, really easy!
The slide rail holding the vegetable drawer cracked an dbroke
I removed the 2 screws that had held the cracked drawer slide rail. The new slide rail fit perfectly. I screwed it in using a phillips head screw driver and the drawer slid back in place. Very easy!
You guys ought to win some sort of website Emmy. I found your site as I was searching for a new motherboard, thinking this was the cause of the temperature control problem. I took the time to go through the little diagnostic process you offer and I discovered that the much less expensive defrost thermostat was more often the root cause of the problem ($8 vs $160 for the new motherboard). The part arrived within 3 days and the installation video was enormously helpful. Removal of the rear panel was more difficult than suggested on the video. I'd suggest removing the freezer light fixture before trying to remove the panel as it is nearly impossible to bend the metal panel around the light bulb bases. Anyway, the whole job cost me about $16 for parts and delivery and the fridge is running fine. The combination of the diagnostic tool and the installation video were fantastic...far beyond expectations.
A very simple repair that took less than 10 minutes. About 5 of that was getting a screw driver and putting it back in the tool box. Simply remove the drawer, unscrew the two screws. Install new rail using the same two screws.
What I liked the best about PartsSelect.com was, I ordered the wrong part mistake. When I called to inquire about the refund/return of the un-used part, they were very polite and curtious. She said the return info would be in my e-mail in a minute. She even asked if I wanted her to order the correct part right then. I didnt have the model number with me at the time or I would have. A minute later I check my e-mail and there was the needed info. Excellent cutomer service PartsSelect. All my future orders, I'll check your site first. Thanks, Glen.
Extremely easy repair, the hardest part was getting the old switch out. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to squeeze the tabs in and it came right out.
Ice built up around evaporator fan blades and blades chipped and broke. Refrigerator was making loud vibrating noises.
Removed ice bucket, and unplugged ice maker. Removed light cover. Removed ice maker. Pulled fan blades straight up and removed. Pushed new blades on to motor shaft. Fairly easy .
I followed your video and completely dismantled the refrigerator evaporator motor, fan, brackets, and grommet, I completely cleaned the refrigerator including the cooling coils. I then ordered the evaporator motor ,fan, grommets, lid bumper, and brackets. The order would take a week to arrive. In the meantime I cleaned and reassembled all the old parts, waiting for the new ones to come. Guess what! The refrigerator was quiet as a mouse. I really did not need the new parts, but I kept them anyway just for good luck. Not bad for a refrigerator that's twenty four years old.
Ordered replacement Arrived 2 days later but was damaged in shipping. Called Customer Service for another replacement which arrived the next day. Just attached front part of drawer and it was ready to use. Customer Service was extremely helpful and efficient.
