My freezer has large chunks of ice on items in freezer. Not sure the fan is running either.

Hello Sandra, Thank you for the question. We suggest defrosting the Fan to make sure it is running to circulate the Air. This could indicate an issue with the defrost cycle. If you have a multi meter you can test the Defrost Thermostat. With the sensor warmed up to room temperature the sensor should read approximately 6.2K Ohms at 68°F. With the thermistor submerged is a glass full of ice water, the sensor should be very close to 32°F which should read approximately 16.3K Ohms. The Defrost Heater can also be Tested, there should be continuity. To check the defrost timer you would need to test the motor from White to orange to make sure that there is 120 vac. This would be the timer motor and if there is power at this point but the timer is not rotating then this would be a timer issue. We hope this helps!

I ordered the parts and they were there in less time than a service tech could come out and i installed the parts and guess what for 90.00 in parts and 15 minutes in time I repaired my refrigerator. The process to repair was very simple, I removed the back of the refrigerator to expose the motor area. I then removed three screws that held the condenser motor in place. once it was loose I detactched the electrical harness and removed the old motor. I then placed the new motor in place and secured it with the screws and reattached the

I then replaced the cover over the motor area and enjoyed my success in repairing my own appliance with no added cost for labor, which would have been expensive I'm sure.
