the fastener became loose and dropped into the stove
This is a cook stove that is used 5 months a year. We have not fixed it yet because we are now in Florida the stove is in New York. We ordered that part just before we left NY for FL so the repair will be done in June of 2021. George Clark
Found the part with ease due to diagrams. Went together easy also because if company supplied diagrams. 2 screws later it slid right in and a lot of cleaning and now the range is like new again.
Since I have All Whirlpool appliances in the home, the only one not a Whirlpool was a counter top dishwasher that looks exactly like it could be a Whirlpool and so not to be the odd unit out, I labeled it with with a Whirlpool logo nameplate on the face of the door. Now everything matches perfectly and all in the same exact color white too.
Just measured and marked where the plate was to be located, cleaned that part of the surface, peeled the backing and carefully placed the logo name plate in place and pressed it on. Voila. Done and looks original as well. Call me the big, deep fakearooski.
glass had 2 dirfferent sides didnt know how to place in door menards still sold same oven so went there and checked out how to place in door.my biggest problem was door was ordered saturday evening was shipped on monday from st paul by fed ex alright 3hrs 160 miles away should be here tuesday. from st paul it went to chicago area 230 miles away to oak creek wi 180 miles away somewhere along the line handed over to US post office which delivered it on friday..
Unplugged stove. Pulled stove out. Unscrewed screws and removed cover. Removed & replaced sensor. Reinstalled cover & screws. Plugged in stove and pushed back in. Only problem was when I pulled stove out, lid opened and disconnected the gas line to a burner.
changing the part itself was easy, but the sheet metal covering the whole back of the oven was difficult to remove because of some screws that were stripped. The new sensor solved the problem.
Looked up on-line the error problem and what part I needed to fix it. Part arrived very quickly and everything was going fine until I realized the stove had two sensors. Replaced the top sensor now I am getting an error on the bottom sensor. Maybe I replaced the wrong one. I will replace the bottom sensor with the one I took out and see if that does the trick. Very very satisfied with PartsSelect. Good Price, Quick Shipping, Would do business with them again. They are now in my favorites so I can find them again if I need parts.
Remove the plug from outlet then shutoff gas. Remove the 10 screws hold the back panel of the oven. Unclip the connector of the temperature sensor from the main line. Pull the sensor straightout. Reverse the process install the new sensor. Couldn't be any easier. Oven working great. Calling in a reapairman would have cost $200 for parts and labor.
E-2 F-3 codes..Oven inop w/trying to bake.Beeps @ start attempt.
Contrary to instructions(go thru front of oven) I had to pull out the range, remove two (2) screws from back chassis. At this point you pull out the connector, snap in new, reverse proceedure. Very simple. Hardest part is cleaning up debris generated by moving range.
