Pilot light would go out when oven was turned off but still allowed gas.
l removed the top section after the grates. Then l took the phillips screws out of the three brackets which hold the L brace which supports the controls, thermostat and the regulator. Only because l did not have a closed-end ratchet wrench for 1/4" and l could not locate my 1/4" socket for my small rachet. l disconnected all gas lines and the thermocouple, then l used the power screwdriver without the apex which makes it a great power 1/4" nutdriver and took out the two screws holding the thermostat. Then l just reversed all the steps installing the new thermostat and once l got the air out and gas was pure l lit the pilot lights and everything worked great. And l adjusted my top burner pilot lights a little higher to prevent them from gettig blown out so easy. Done deal.

gas range knob and oven knob for my magic chief stove broke
After going to Homedepot, Sears, Lowes and other hardware stores I reached out to some folks at my job i was recommended to order the parts from PartSelect. I spent the Christmas and New Years Holiday in a mess. I really could not cook like i wanted to. I ordered the parts within a week it came. I am thankful you to guys no more drama, caos or worries. I highly recommend this site very easy to install. thank you
After ordering 3 or 4 different knobs for replacement, I found the one I needed. I did not have the oven model number at first...now everything is working fine. No tools, just push the knob into place. Thanks!
I took a pair of channel locks pulled the old one off pushed the new one on they look really nice and was glad they had the parts for such an old stove. thank you,now my hubby is glad so he doesn't have to buy a new stove.
I purchased a knob that I was hoping might fit properly. Unfortunately I did not find anything that matched the knob we had originally. We use the knob that I purchased to turn the oven on and off, but the shaft channel is much longer than the shaft on the stove, so the knob sits high above the other knobs. I wish that I could find a knob to accommodate the shaft on the stove. I have considered purchasing an addition kinob and trying to saw off part of the shaft if the plastic can be shortened without shattering.
