Broken Handle
Removed the plastic cover cap on side screw the removed the three screws, removing the old handle. Cleaned screws and mounting area on door, then installed the new handle. Very easy.
I removed the nuts that held the motor mount, then removed fan blade, cut the wires, and slid the motor pass the mounts and the coil shroud, Installed motor in reverse order. worked out ok.
removed lower back cover. diconnected fan ass'y electrical connection, removed fan housing (3 screws). removed fan motor from housing. cut old connector from fan and installed on new fan with wire nuts included. re-installed new fan to housing and re-installed housing to frame.
The plastic part just got old and crumbeled..so it wouldn't fit.
First I couldn't get it back..due to eye problems so i gave it to my husband and he just did it in a flash..you set it under the glass and put the drawers or crispers back in and its done.
figured out the condenser fan was kaput. Tried WD, worked for several days then gave out completely. Took off back of fridge and trained small fan on compressor while I ordered new condenser fan. The swap was easy, undid the housing bolts, stripped off the connector, reconnected and voila! works perfect.
Burned out socket, right side of refrigerator compartment.
I was changing a defective bulb and somehow the hot lead for the socket got grounded, and arched. This made the socket defective. I simply took out the defective socket and replaced it with the new one I ordered. Working fine now. PCH
Frig wasn't as cold as it should be; even with gauges cranked all the way down
Noticed fan wasn't running, remo ved, verified that it wasn't a sensor, ordered new part, installed new part...works like new. Everything is cold again!
The hardest part was taking out original light bulb because screws on shield where hard to unscrew after all this years . The old bulb vent out leaving neck in socket. It took narrow electrical pliers to get neck out .The generic appliance bulb did not fit and had aluminum neck ,not recommended for brass sockets in ovens.Putting new light bulb in was not the problem.
Very easy to do -- removed a screw - pulled the broken center rail away and replaced with new one -- realigned the humidity control band - installed the new roller on the rail -- reassembled the unit and done!
Note to those ordering new rollers. The mounting screw for the roller is not in the bag -- apparently it's ordered separately -- very strange -- seems like they should come together.
most parts snap in except for rollers that require a phillips head screw driver. The most amazing thing is the parts were available for a > 15 year old fridge.
I removed two screws holding the assembly. removed the assembly then toke the roller and bracket out of the houseing and replaced with new part. reverse the procedure for installation.
we had a broken door handle that looked very unsightly
The repair was very simple and the refrigerator now looks almost new. We are very pleased with your service and the fast delivery time. We give it 5 stars.
