The hardest part was taking out original light bulb because screws on shield where hard to unscrew after all this years . The old bulb vent out leaving neck in socket. It took narrow electrical pliers to get neck out .The generic appliance bulb did not fit and had aluminum neck ,not recommended for brass sockets in ovens.Putting new light bulb in was not the problem.
The door came off easily after I removed the two hinge covers that are attached to the oven. Taking the door off can be done with one person but ideally two.
The new parts fit in perfectly and the hinge pin used for shipping comes out easiest with a pair or wire cutters (you do not cut it just grab it and pull).
After that, re-assemble the door and drop in place. It was a snap.
FYI...the shipping was ultra fast and the price was great.
Old switch was difficult to remove and the push nuts provided with the new switch were too small to fit on the lid posts.
Removed the old switch by essentially destroying it with a screw drive and pliers. Had to drive to the hardware store to purchase push nuts that fit. .
Just wanted to thank you for the great service. I ordered the part on Tuesday, it shipped on Wednesday and arrived on Thursday. I installed the switch in under :10 minutes on Friday and the old Jenn Air grill is running like new again. Many thanks!
Downdraft fan would not operate with light/fan switch.
Removed old switch, but when I tried to install the new one the round slide on retainers that hold the switch in place were cheaply made and broke. I had to go to the hardware store to find replacement parts. Electric terminals matched correctly and slipped off and on just fine. New switch works great.

A little difficult getting the old retaining washers off of the old part and placing the new washers on the new switch. I ended up using a nutdriver on the retaining nut and hitting it with a hammer. This worked great!! Make sure to record which wire color goes where on the old switch before removing wires. TURN OFF POWER BEFORE!! This is 220V. It can hurt you bad.
removed two screws, pulled up hardware / components, unplugged the old switch, (remember to switch off the circuit breaker!) the two 'fasteners' that are supposed to keep the switch tied to the cover panel did not fit, so i had to use epoxy to secure the switch. no problem though.
It was difficult to take out the burned out part, because it was in for so long, but WD 40 helped take it out. First I unscrewed the two screws, then pulled the element out enough, so I could disconnect the wires. finelly I took the element out, put in the new one and did the same thing backwards, i.e. attached the wires, screwed in the two screws, then I tested it, and when I saw it worked, it was done.
