Back burner not working
Lift stove top, rest it on the pop out holders on stove. Take old double burner out, Make sure gas port is not plugged. Put new burner in its place. Make sure it is solid, if not use the washers sent with new burner. turn on gas to burner, to see if it works. Close stove top an wa la! The bride is happy.;-]
I ordered the part I needed I recirived it overnite by 9 am. I installed it in 20 min iwould have taken 5 min but the part was of such high quality I had to use a drill to make the opening slightly larger, very easy.the part I received was twice the quality of the original part. Thank You
Temperatures were much usually hotter than indicated
First of all I had to find the right part from Partselect, which was very easy, delivery was fantastically fast even tho I didn`t order special delivery. After reading installation suggestions on the website, it was simple, open the top, disconnect the burners, removed the thermo from the inside. The only hard part was threading the sensor through the correct hole. I had to remove a couple of cover plates to see where the hole was. Put it back together, lit the oven and the temps were correct, as shown by an oven thermometer.
The only tool needed was a nutdriver to remove the lamp socket. I needed my head mounted light to see what I was doing, and everything went smoothly from there. Simple job.
Just opened the box, removed the 2 old burners and replaced with the 2 shiny new ones. Yeah success! I placed my order for this product and before I knew it, it was at my front door. Thank you!
gas flame flared and blackened pots; gas jets clogged
raised the range top so the supports locked in place. carefully lifted off the old burner assemblies. used a paper towel to remove any black soot from gas jets. opened the plastic package of the new burner assemblies, pulled out the new parts and carefully put them in place. turned on the flame to test... took less than 5 minutes to fix a problem that's been annoying for 3 years!!
Remove light bail, glass cover held by two nut screws. Pull socket, removed clips in back, replaced wire connectors, placed new socket in, then glass cover and bail. Wire connected in back, cover plate replaced.
