broken inside glass
After reading what other people did for this job I figured I could do this. The inside glass broke after liquid accidently hit the glass from basting. Just followed the digram from the internet to show how the door and glass comes apart. The only thing I had to figure out was how to take the door off. And once I figured that out it went pretty easy. The door comes off just by lifting up on the door and pulling out. Just make sure you put all your parts in order on how they come apart and just replace them them in that order.
Turned off CB for the oven,Remove the oven from the cabinet , remove the back of the oven, replaced the light Assembly. turned on CB for the oven, tested the light. and truned off the CB and replace the back and reinstalled the oven in the cabinet.
I pulled down the wire around the glass cover. . . Released on end of the wire from its holder being careful to not let the glass cover drop. Unscrewed the bulb and replaced with replacement. Easy, easy.
I refered to what I had read on repair stories of broken glass...then went to fixing mine and before I new it I was done and glass replaced...it was very easy as long as you watch what you are doing when u take it apart and replace things the same as they were removed......thank you
I was not around the entire time a neighbor was working to get the door removed. He only said he had to remove an additional screw so I'm not sure I can be of much help here.Once the door was removed however, the repair went easily. I would tell anyone needing this repair to be prepared to clean a number of crevices around the door. I was glad to have a chance to clean these hidden places.Let me also said customer service rep was wonderful.
removing the screws holding the burner together was impossible. they snapped off and I had to drill them out. that took the most time. after that it was 100% easy hookup. clean up of the burner was done with a wire brush. good quality products. thanks.
Take 4 screws off to remove oven pan, once pan is off , you can see the igniter. Take off two screws and remove old igniter. Be sure to run wires on new igniter where they were on the old igniter.
