Ice maker on fridge would not make ice.
Removed 4 bottom screws. Removed module screws. Replaced module and motor with new parts (came assembled). Replaced module screws and installed the ice maker with the 4 bottom screws.
bulbs were not burnt out. received the new switch in a few days. watch the short video, was good to see how it comes out. used a putty knife to release the defective switch, removed wires put them on the new one and posed the new switch back in. Not bad Part cost $11.00 7 dollars shipping so for 17 bucks it works great. nice to see what is inside the refer!
We looked up the problem online with the model number of the refrigerator. We ordered the part and followed the video installation that was sent with the order and was found online prior to purchasing
Eased the putty knife under the edge of the switch housing and pried it off. Pulled two wires off the old terminals and hooked them onto the new one and reinstalled into the refrigerator body.

turned water off to ice maker unpluged fridg while doing repair which was such short time everything was ok removed 3 1/4 hex screws holding ice maker in position while holding ice maker in hand unpluged wiring connection for it removed old ice mold which coating had come off of which was very simple 2 philips screws which are recessed on control unit then gently wiggle assembly apart paying attention to how all the tray parts went together then reinstalling same way as they were remove very simple repair anyone should be able to do
Easy, just removed the ice dispenser and the left support for the dispenser so I could get to the bottom screw easier. Three screws held the mold in place. The bottom screw had to be removed completely, but I just loosened the two top screws and lifted the mold out away from the wall and then disconnected the wiring. The end cover snapped of easy with a screw driver. I then removed the three screws holding the motor. then pulled the motor off.(the next square part under the cover. I did this before I realized that I could use a small screw driver and stick it into the holes to remove the mold and not mess with the outer screws. After I removed the mold, I replaced the new mold into position, without putting the white forky looking part back on so I had to take the two screws out and put the part in place before attaching the motor back to the mold. Everything went back together just like a charm. The ice maker is working good, easy job. Gone golfing now.
One of the lights was out and all lights would blink
Put One card in one side and other card on the opposite side, push in on both sides to press in clips that hold light in. Once clips are in light will start to come out unplug light and plug in new light. Push light back in.
The first thing I would like to say is thank you Parts select for a very fast delivery. It was within 24 hours I received my component. The installation went very well. The main thing is to take each part off the old mold, one at a time and install it onto the new mold. Make sure to look at each part as it is mounted to the old mold and re install them the exact same way. Just be gentle with some of the plastic pieces because they are fragile in certain areas. Remove the ice maker with two screws in the side and one screw in the bottom. You don't have to completely remove the side screws but you do have to remove the bottom screw. Lift up on the ice maker and reach behind it and unplug the wiring harness. The tube that lets the water in is accessible from the rear of the fridge. Remone the water line, its only finger tight, and remove the two screws. Pull the tube up and out. Thaw it out with hot water and reinstall. With the ice maker out and on the table, pop off the front cover. Remove two phillips head screws and slide the cube tray off. watch how everything is placed before you slide it off. Slide on the new tray and reinstall all screws. Reassemble in reverse order that you took it out. Your ready to make ice...
Light rocker switch broke and refrigerator light couldn't go on.
I just popped out the old switch with a flat head screwdriver. Removed the connections and then installed new switch by reversing steps. Popped in back in and the light went on.
Tough part was diagnosing the problem: bad water inlet solenoid, frozen inlet line, bad ice maker motor, or door opening sensor? Went to a parts shop & discussed the problem with the serviceman. He said you just need to sequentially replace each part. No way say I, that could cost $300 with a no-part return option.
I decided to replace the motor...Eureka!! It worked. The underside of the ice maker cartridge has a plastic snap clip on either side of the cartridge. You need push each up, pull the left side of the cartridge out part way & disconnect the electrical connector on the right side(left..you facing the refrig.) With the cartridge out simply remove the 5 screws from the motor plate of the left side & replace with the new one. Very simple. Slide the cartridge back in the frig. until the 2 snap clips click. Voila...you done! Cost $86..not $300. Apparently the motor is too weak to do the job & burns out quickly. Manufacturer should correct this defect.
i first removed the ice maker and took the motor assembley off. Right away i saw the problem. The wheel which drives the arm broke. Once i get the new motor modl i just replaced it (it just pops into place with 1 or 2 screws). put ice maker back in freezer and wola. Starting cranking out ice within 15 minutes.
