Soaked the new gasket in warm/hot water and snapped it on without any hassels. Thank you also for the fast delivery!

removed the inside fridge electrical panel and swapped switches

easy pry out, disconnect wiring, connect on new switch and press in switch.

took door off removed old gasket which was the hardest part of whole job put new gasket in place pressed into grove and rehang door need something to hold door up in place to reattach.

Remove old gasket clean area and install new gasket

First I flipped breaker to off position for refigerator, Pulled down on socket and broke it free. Then took needle nose piars to pull wire and plug out from hole, so I could conect to new light socket then snaped it in place . Hardest part was getting wire and plug out of hole.

Pulled out old socket.pushed in new one.

Sears told me the part was no longer available. I came to your web site and then called your customer service. A very nice customer service lady helped me find the part. Very simple to pull the old one off and reinstall the new one with a rat trap behind the unit. Just in case it came back. Could have been a client but probably was a rat. I started removing the switch by prying on the right side with a screwdriver, when it emerged enough I used pliers to finish removing it. I then unpluged rhe wires from the bad switch and pluged them on the new switch and "poped" it into the hole.

Connected the 2 wires and pushed in the switch until it clicked.

Emptied freezes, turned off power, took floor of freezer out [4 screws ], took two screws out of fan mounts and replaces fan. Reassembled by reverse process. Simple

I ordered the part, within two days we had received it. My husband put the part in and I really don't know what he used doing so. All I know is that the light works now and we don't have to use the flashlight. Thanks a lot.

Gently pry out switch in door jam with screwdriver and pull both connectors off and put connectors on new switch then push switch back into the hole. Looked it up on the internet and video showed how to and also had link to new part, ordered and less than a week later the fridge is bright again. I have an older freezer also and it seems that they all use the same switches. Very Very easy

We bought the side door retainer strip with the hope we could simply cut it to length and it would be the solution for the top/bottom retainer strip not available.. The problem was the holes for the flathead screws on the door bottom do not match the pattern of the holes on the side retainer. This meant we had to mark and drill new holes carefully on a drill press and then cut the piece to fit. After that it was no problem at all to screw it back to door and install the new gasket. Sure wish the top/bottom retainer strips were in stock somewhere.
