Heat element burned out.
The problem I ran into Was; Having the right socket size for doing the project. After taking care of that problem it was fairly easily to disconnect the element and reconnect the new one. It's pretty self explanitory.

Oven would broil but wouldn't bake
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. connected the new element, reassembled and SHAZAM. It worked. I am not good with electrical circuit testing etc. even though I know it must be easy so after reading many stories here, I decided to start by replacing just the element and see if I got lucky. I did. No need to call expensive repairman.

Bake element burned into while baking
Take out 2 screws disconnect the wires one on each side removed element recoonnected the wires put the 2 screws back in . Also I did flip breaker off while working. When I turned the oven on I noticed it gets bright red almost instantly. I dont remember my old getting red at all. this tells me it probably needed changing a lot earlier. Bake Element quit heating
Unplug the oven, open the door, take the screws out of the back wall that hold the small brackets which hold the element. Pull the element out of the wall, and pull a little of the wires with it to grasp easily. There are square nut screws, so you need the appropriate tool. Unplug the old element from the wires, and plug the new one in. Screw everything back together! This was a very easy fix!

Banking Element needed replacement
For an electrical appliance, it doesn't get easier then this, this was real easy.

I removed both baking racks, unscrewed two screws holding the old element in place, pulled out element about 1 1/2 inches, removed the wires off of each end of the element, then replaced with new element in reverse order. That was it. Had time to play 18 holes of Golf!

No oven heat, but the broiler worked fine. All top burners worked.
Removed the oven heater and checked with an ohm meter. It read 'open', so I ordered a new element. It came in a few days, and my 16 year old grandson installed it, and all is well!
