a part of the latch broke off causing the latch to not secure the door
on a U-TUBE repair sequence it showed removing the entire front panel of the door. With this Kenmore model the front panel is in two parts. The upper part where the controls and latch are is independent of the front panel so all I needed was to unscrew the upper panel, unscrew the latch, pull off the wires and reinstall by plugging in the wires, screwing the new latch to the door, reinstalling the panel to the door. It took about 15-20 minutes for the entire operation.

Our Frigidaire dishwasher leaked from the lower left side.
I watched several videos of people replacing this gasket easily, but we had trouble. The old one came out easily. The new one just slipped into the crack, but it kept going and ended up on the inside of the door. We ended up taking the outside panel off to get the gasket out. We tried to fit the thing into the slot, but it kept coming out the other side. I finally came across someone who had had the same trouble. By feel only, you can feel a slight ridge on the top side of the lower door and I had to press the gasket against that ridge. It was not a very noticeable ridge, but it holds the back (slot edge) against the door so that the gasket stays put. When we figured that out, the repair went smoothly. I am running the dishwasher now and so far, so good.

Dishwasher hose had hole in it. It was 23 years old.
After getting a totally incorrect length of hose from partselect.com . Went to local hardware store and bought hose for $3.00 vs $20.99 + $10 shipping!
Partselect sent replacement hose of 24 1/4” vs the original hose of 27”. Good luck getting any response from them once they have your money!

water coming out around the middle of the bottom of the door
I followed directions from a video on this site and written directions in order to make the repairs. Pulled out the old gasket from one end with pliers . I cleaned out the slot in the door of any food or dirt and replaced with the new gasket. It was a very easy and quick repair that allowed me to use my dishwasher quickly. Thanks for the help.

Door won't stay up and door leaking on floor
Replacing the door bottom gasket is a breeze, just grasp with a needle nose pliers and pull out. I positioned a small mirror inside the dishwasher so I could see where the gasket fit back in. I pushed the new gasket into the slot and ----done.
The springs require that the dishwasher be pulled out from its opening after removing the screws holding it into the cabinet at the top of the dishwasher. Replacing the springs is easy, just remove the old ones from the the bottom frame holes and the plastic holder and put the new ones on through the plastic holder and then into the frame. Push the dishwasher back into its opening, square it with the cabinet and reinstall the mounting screws.

Relay shorted out after diagnostics ran
Removed two screws on each side, lower half. Inside, removed six screws. Replaced the assembly and replaced all screws.
Not worth the fifty dollars for the part, just to have a door open at the right time to empty soap. Quite a hefty price to pay considering the price of the machine
