Ice maker stopped working. Part needed to repair it no longer available so had to replace the whole icemaker.
Loosened the two mounting screws (no need to remove them), lift off the icemaker and unplug it. Reverse the order and done.

water leaking inside of refrigerator from filter area
I just removed the filter and then removed the filter housing. The housing is mounted using two screws. The only difficult part was removing the elbows from the water in and out lines. I don't believe the elbows are reusable. So I would go ahead and order new elbows when replacing this part.

Icemaker was producing hollow ice due to water was free flowing out the water dispenser during fill time for icemaker.
Removed old water valve w/ screwdriver, cut threads off old hose (as they just plug straight into new valve) & pushed hoses into new water valve. Solved both problems!!!!

Filter housing froze and cracked
Be sure to shut off the water supply to the refrigerator before starting this project in case some one tries to get water thru the water dispenser before you get this replaced or you will have a fridge with a lot of water in it!

Removed the screw that held the cover over the filter housing. removed the two screws holding the housing to the wall. The quick connect elbows were next removed. replaced the cracked housing with the new housing connecting the elbows first then remounted the housing to the wall. Then replaced the cover and was done in less than five minutes. Turned on water and checked for leaks

Fridge leaked water all over my kitchen
I watched the video and followed every step as outlined. It worked perfect, until I reconnected the supply line to my triple water valve. I used the old compression fitting and the compression nut. I should have cut the line and installed a new fitting and nut. The water on the floor the next morning reminded me of that. So back out I went and replaced the compression fitting and it has been as good as new. The ice maker took a few cycles to work again, I think it needed to fill the line with water first. But I have a huge sense of pride every time I hear water dispenced or ice dump in the freezer. Thanks for the help and encouragement!
