Noise in Evaporator Fan section
Opening up the Evaporator Fan section was a quick and easy job. After opening, I checked and removed the fan and looked at the grommet. The grommet on the fan was tight and secure and I could no longer hear the noise. I closed the opening. Something I had done while checking the fan grommet must have solved the problem. I have not hear the noise again!
changed the light bulb still would not work so I figured it was the switch sure enough.
I took a chance and ordered a switch that is next to the top of the door. looked for how to remove it easily done in ten minutes works fine last long time.
Installed ice machine components using kit and included instructions. Easy! Ran a copper line from under sink valve to back of refrigerator under the floor. Drilled two holes to run copper line. Plumber turned water off and replaced single valve with a double valve (one line to faucet and the other for the copper line). Installed shut off valve and filter at the other end of copper line. Then stainless hose to refrigerator. Everything went smooth. Double check the factory installed plastic line from the electric valve to the inlet for your freezer. Mine was barely inserted and leaked. I pushed it in all the way and it is fine now... Ice maker works really well! Wish I had done this sooner!
Getting Ice Maker to sit in place prior to tightening screws.
Don not completely remove holding icemaker screws. Unit slips over screws and drops down into place and the use nutdriver to tighten in place. Rest of unit was sound and wasn’t replaced. After icemaker is installed wait for a while and unit self activated and creates ice cubes.
Ice maker fit perfectly over 2 top screws. I tightened them and put the one on the bottom. I was done in less than 10minutes. Everything fit perfectly as expected. Couldn't have been eaiser. Parts Select is my go to online store.
Removed ice tray and unbolted front cover. Removed broken piece and snapped new ice deflector in place. Reinstalled front cover and put ice tray back into freezer. Cycled crushed ice, works great!
SUPER EASY. I pulled out the ice bucket and confirmed the motor ran and the axel turned - however the coupling was missing. Ordered the coupling - pulled out the ice bucket, screwed on by hand with minimum effort, put ice bucket back and ice started coming out the door. It took less than 5 minutes and no tools required.
Gasket had become bad and letting air in which was causing an ice/water build up in freezer!
Ordered gasket through this site pulled old gasket off, because my conquest had no screws on lining, Put new gasket on top and bottom first and kind of forced the edges into groove using heat gun cause gave me a little problem. But overall, it worked to perfection! Now to buy other gasket for refrigerator door!
Ice bin auger drum fins broke off from the main shaft, stopping the production of crushed ice.
Replaced the Ice Bin Auger,I ordered from PartSelect, which had much thicker housing and fins than the original .You remove the clip from the end of the shaft and a nylon nut which is a left hand which is opposite threads from most nuts. Its a good idea to take a picture of how the blades and spacers are ,because if not put back in the same direction their will be no crushed ice.It now works better and quiter than when it was new.
