This carburetor float bowl, sourced from the original manufacturer, is a cup/bowl-shaped part that receives fuel from the fuel inlet and holds it for use in the engine combustion chamber. It contains a float and needle valve (sold separately) which aid in regulating the fuel levels in the bowl. The bowl itself is made from a high-quality plastic to resist corrosion and can be found underneath the carburetor. If you have noticed fuel leaking from the engine, hard starting, rough idling, and engine flooding, this indicates that the float bowl may be faulty. The bowl can fail due to several reasons, such as general wear from exposure to heat and fuel, contamination from dirt/debris or improper installation. Before you begin your repair, disconnect the fuel lines. Remove the faulty bowl and check that the bowl gasket is still in good condition, if not, you will need to replace the gasket well. Place the new bowl on to the body of the carburetor and secure it with the appropriate fasteners.
