Light comes on but fridg won't run. Capacitor seems good. Temp control clicks. What does the overload ptc do?? manufacturer part # wr09x10105
For model number Refridg model HTS15BBMFRWW
Hello Larry, thank you for your question. If the overload protector senses that the compressor is approaching failure from overheating, it will temporarily shut the compressor down to allow it to cool. If the unit will not start, the PartSelect Number: PS11764031 Run capacitor, Defrost control PartSelect Number: PS288216 and Temperature control PartSelect Number: PS9493106 should be tested or replaced. I hope this helps!

Compressor making a loud noise when stops
For model number GTS18ABMFRWW
Hello Hugo, thank you for your question. We would recommend checking the compressor mounts, and mounting grommets under the feet of the compressor. If they are worn or broken, this could cause the noise when the compressor stops. A broken spring inside the compressor housing is very often a cause. It's what holds the motor inside the black can that is the compressor. If that is the case, the compressor would have to be replaced.
My fridge ice machine doesn’t work. I replaced the valve and it is getting water from the wall just nothing is coming out the top and it’s not going into service mode.
For model number GTS18DCPWRBB
Hello Jack, thank you for the question. If the appliance is getting water but not sending water to the ice maker, we suggest to first check the water lines. Make sure they are not froze over and preventing water from passing through. If the Lines are good, you may need to replace the Ice maker. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
