20A Fuse burns every few days
I replaced the microswitches on both sides of the oven door. The procedure is very easy:
- Unplug from power
- Remove the top cover - there are two parts (screws are on the top)
- Remove the support on the right side (the microswitch is inside this part) - by removing the two screws screws on top of the part.
- Remove ... Read more the two electrical wires from the switch by pulling the cable shoes. Note that the cable shoes can be snug - don't pull on the wires.
- Insert the microswitch (the one with red micro button) into the new support - in an identical position. Use the old part as a reference. Note that there is a tiny latch inside that should be moved gently aside to allow the switch to get in place.
- Connect the electrical wires and install the new support in place.
-Repeat the procedure on the left side - note the left side has two switches - one with green micro button and the bottom one identical to the one on the right.
- Make sure to install a new fuse before closing the top covers.

Microwave/Combo Oven trips breaker when you open the door
There are two small switches that the door interacts with. As they age they can fail outright or "stick" --either will trip your breaker. It is also likely that the small plastic support holding the switches starts to age and allow play or movement of the switches. I replaced both switches (after testing that one of them was bad) and b

oth supports. About $35 to keep a 6 year old microwave going. Way better than replacing it for $1750+. It takes help to remove/replace the oven from the wall, but only a screwdriver to remove the side and top pieces to access the switches and supports YouTube videos can guide you. Thanks partselect.com for keeping me going with your Bosch parts selection!

The breaker in my house would stay open on microwave circuit
I watched a YouTube video that confirmed the diagnosis of failed safety switch. Order the switch and the housing as recommended (because the housing is cheap plastic and as it ages it wiggles too much and no longer holds the switch correctly).
With help of my sons to get the microwave out this was an easy repair. I recommend taking ... Read more the left side panel off (involves removing the left frame rail as well, but makes access SO much easier).
Bottom line: no need to replace a $1700 microwave. No need to replace several appliances to go with a new brand (that was wife's idea for $4500!).
Nope! $15 of parts from partselect.com (plus shipping) and we are cooking again! THANKS!
