The part looks like the right one when I review the diagram however the list of possible part numbers it replaces does not have the number that is on the side of this compressor unit, da73c12rcu6 is the part number on my GE monogram refrigerator freezer, side by side unit so want to double check that this will work
For model number ZISS42DCASS
Hi Steven, Thank you for the question. The Compressor kit PS8768493 is the correct kit listed for the model number provided. The da73c12rcu6 might be a factory number or line number but with the model number we can verify this is the correct compressor. Hope this helps!

I had a tech from the service business GE referred review the unit and he seems to think it has to do with the compressor. He did not seem so sure. However, the issue I am having is the fridge will stop cooling and inside will heat up. By unplugging the fridge and restarting it by plugging it back in it will start to run and cool for 4 or 5 days, then repeat the non cooling. Works "great" when it runs, but will stop cooling within a week or so.

Hello Donnie, Thank you for the question. before replacing the compressor, I suggest testing the Overload Part #: PS8758063 and the Start Relay Part #: PS8758061 on the compressor. You can test them to check for continuity with a multi meter. Hope this helps!
I am getting a lot of noise out of the compressor though the temps are good inside. The noise is getting worse. Would like to know the cause.
For model number GSS25LGPABB
Hi Gary, thank you for your question. You should not be getting noise from the compressor itself. However it is likely that your noise is coming from your condenser fan motor or blades that are beside the compressor. I would suggest checking those parts. Good luck with your repair.

The refrigerator is not working properly. Overall it is not cooling. The freezer, specifically, is not making ice. I unplugged the refrigerator for five minutes and after plugging it back in, the temperature displays
have the correct temperatures, (0° in the freezer and 37° in the fridge), but the actual temperature on the other hand seems higher. Can you help?
For model number PSHS6PGZBESS
Hello Luis,
Thanks for your question. There are a few different parts you may wish to test for electrical continuity using a multimeter. Replace any that do not show continuity. Test the defrost thermostat, temperature sensor, defrost heater, run capacitor, and the condenser fan motor.
I hope this helps.
On the compressor kit, is the compressor complete or is it a rebuild kit that has to be put together by a service tech before installation
For model number PSS25NGMAWW
Hi Richard, Thank you for the question. This is the complete kit but the compressor should be installed by a repair man as it requires special tools and freon. Freon can only be purchased by someone that is refrigeration certification. Hope this helps!

Unplug fridge over night plugged it back in this morning and doesn't seem to be getting cool. Freezer fan runs, 120volts going to compressor theres a click and sounds like compressor runs 5 to 10 seconds and shuts off. After a couple hours of being plugged in the compressor is only at 130 degrees.
For model number 363.50232000
Hello Robert, thank you for writing. It sounds like there is an issue with the compressor starting and then shutting down too soon. I would recommend replacing the PS2345752 PTCR Compressor Relay as well as the PS287953 overload. I hope this helps!

It’s making a internal noise as the compressor shuts off. Is there a fix for this I know the internal compressor part sets on springs but it’s moving around inside enough to hit the casing making a clunk clunk clunk but not every time.

Side by side refrigerator has started to warmup. The other day it went up to 68 in both the freezer and the refrigerator, the temperature in the house. Then it turns itself back on and goes to the temperature each section is set for.
Repair guy thinks it’s the compressor and quoted us $1800 for parts and labor to replace. Or he says it could be motherboard. Suggests he come back when it’s not working. (Of course no repairman will come same day it seems) Any thoughts on what’s wrong?

Hi Jane, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the control board, part number PS16729744, and replacing it if necessary. Before replacing it, we would suggest checking the temperature sensor for continuity. We hope this solves your problem!
