What does the vent do that's on the top left corner of the outside of the dishwasher door? When the door is open, there's a round gray thing that screws off. Does that need cleaned out? There isn't a thing in the manual that tells you about it.

Hello Elizabeth, Thank you for your inquiry. This vent covers the air diverter, which assists with steam. Hope this helps!

Hi. When we opened the dishwasher after the cleaning cycle we saw two things. First, a lot of water on the floor. Then when we opened the door, the part that looks like part 812 was on the floor inside the dishwasher. The accompanying piece it screws into is too far down in the door to screw it back on. What can we do?

Hello Taylor, thank you for writing. In order to fix the screw on vent cap, the inner door panel will have to be removed to gain access to the inside of the door where the vent is housed. Once the screws are removed from the inside edge of the door, the inner door panel should come off quite easily. If you continue to have standing water at the bottom of the dishwasher after the cycle is complete, I would check the following parts; check the drain hose for any clogs, check the drain basket and sump area under the lower spray arm for any debris building up. Also, check the float assembly, drain pump and finally the timer. Usually, a large buildup of debris will cause this problem, cleaning the sump/pump assembly, hoses and spray arms will fix the issue. I hope this helps!
