Would a worn spring on the door latch cause the surface lights to cease working? The surface lights sometimes work after i close the door and then stop working when closed again. It is both lights and the bulbs are working.
For model number JVM3160DF3WW
Hello Constance, thank you for your question. That spring should not affect the surface lights. The surface lights would be controlled by the sockets, or the socket wiring and the electronic board. If the lights are working sporadically we would recommend replacing the sockets, and checking the wiring harness of the sockets. If those parts are not the issue the problem could be the board or wiring between the touch pad and the board. I hope this helps.
