I don't know if it's related, but after my new housekeeper cleaned my oven, it now goes on (bake & broil) no problem but shuts off after about a minute. Is this likely a faulty temperature sensor that needs to be replaced?I had a tech recommend also changing the valve (00427071) but since that's discontinued they'd need to remove and rebuild it, leaving my oven unusable for 3 months. I'm hoping that I can first verify it's not the temperature sensor or another part, and only replace the valve if that's the last option (or if we can confirm that it's definitely not working).

Hello Erez, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the sensor to be sure it is not defective. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. We hope this helps. We hope this helps!

Hi, I have a Thermador Professional Range Oven. It said model number PRG366GH / 17 - FD970200001.
Some of the burners won’t light. You hear the clicking and smell the gas but they don’t light. What part is needed. Also, the broil function on the oven works but only when on broil (obviously) and when the temp also is on Broil. in other words, I can’t use the top heat for any other temperature like 400. Is something wrong with a temperature sensor or could it be designed this way.

Hi Tina, thank you for the question. Based on the description, the issue is with the electrode, part number PS11704946. You may need to replace the defective electrodes on the range top burners to fix the issue. Also, after our research and understanding of the second issue, you probably have a defective temperature sensor, part number PS8729210. You may need to replace the sensor to fix the issue. Glad to be of help!
My oven seems to not be reliably holding temperature, e.G. Set to 350, but will cool down to 200 before burner comes back on. ..... my thought is that the thermostat is more likely culprit?

Hi Jason, Thank you for your question. There could be a few parts that can cause an issue like that. The thermostat is definitely one of them. You may also want to check your igniter as well. If those parts are both fine, then it may be your PCB that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
