Dishwasher was stuck in cycle
I had to replace the dishwasher timer...Open dishwasher door and removed screws that hold front panel on to access control panel. Remove timer knob from from front of dishwasher (Just pulls off) and unscrew two screw that hold timer on. Unplug timer, replace with new time and everything goes back the same way it was taken apart.

Heat cycle won't cut off. Is this the timer?
For model number FD8510LCS3
Hi Earl, Thank you for the question. If the appliance continues to run, the time is not advancing. The timer will need to be replaced. hope this helps!

Water will enter in all 3 (heavy, normal, light) but it will not wash. It will drain, and the heating element comes on. Two days ago it stayed in heating/drying cycle until i realized that and manually turned control knob to off. Question: Is this probably the timer needing to be replaced?
For model number fdv510lcb0
Hello Larry, thank you for your question. The issue could be the timer, not advancing, or the Pump/Motor Kit with Harness Manufacturer Part Number 154859101 .The pump/motor kit is the part that circulates the water through the unit to wash the dishes. I would recommend testing the motor and timer to determine which part is faulty. I hope this helps!

Does this part (timer) control how long drain pump runs.
For model number Ps815994
Hello Jay, Thank you for your inquiry. It controls the length of the cycles, it's usually the main control board taking information from the pressure sensor and other input that will control how long the drain pump runs. Hope this helps!
