My machine gets out of balance on every use. Could the problem be with the tub ring (oem part aaj7290962)
For model number WT4870C
Hi Matt,
Thank you for your question. It could be this part. The balance assembly has a calcium mixture inside of it that helps the machine to balance the load by putting more of the mixture on the side that has less weight. I would also suggest you check your suspension rods as well. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

During the last 2-3 minutes of the wash cycle while on the final spin, the tub balancing assy and the tub cover assy touch together and make plastic shavings inside the machine. Any ideas should i replace the balancing assy and tub cover?

I keep having issues with UE - no matter how carefully I place the load in the tank it ends up with an uneven load. Didn’t work like this when I purchased it. Issue came on over time.

Hello Mark, Thank you for the question. We suggest checking the Suspension Rods for wear or damage and make sure they are installed properly. You can also make sure the Leveling legs are even. If they check out good, you may have a Faulty Rotor Position (Hall) Sensor Assembly. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
I recently replaced the clutch assembly to my top loading wt1101cw lg washer but now I'm getting UE code with plastic shavings noticed at the bottom of the tub. Do I need to replace just the balance assembly or both it and the tub assembly?
For model number wt1101cw
Hello D'Arcy, thank you for the question. According to our research, the UE error appears due to the out-of-balance load, and the plastic shavings could appear due to the misalignment of assembly. We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: Suspension Assembly, part number PS8749609, Balance Assembly, part number PS7785798, and Rotor Assembly, part number PS3522937. If you require assistance to place an order, please contact customer service. We hope that helps!
