Not fault of Parts Select - WARNING you cannot fix dishwasher with this part.
This is NOT a complaint about Parts Select (GE however has some packaging issues to resolve). It may become a complaint of Parts Select if not resolved to my full refund.
Unable to repair with provided part.
I have performed this repair in the past easily and successfully with part from GE Parts. GE Part Number: WD18

GE Parts currently lists part number above as discontinued with a new GE Part Number: WD35X10386. However not in stock
Found new part number locally however was missing the hose and plastic molded tubing that connects to pump and provides the actual diverter mechanism. Obviously did not purchase.
Ordered from Parts Select on 2021-12-22 and inquired if their part was complete. I was assured it was and paid for overnight shipping at approximate cost of $30.
Part arrives on Christmas Eve, a day late and incomplete. Called Part Select and was assured I would be reimbursed for full cost of part and shipping and was provided with shipping label to return incomplete part at their cost once their stock personnel verifies my claims.
I have photos of original/damaged but complete part beside new in package incomplete part for record and your use if you request.

Hello, i am confused on how the diverter valve operates (#wd35x10386). It loks like a red plastic ball inside the housing. The problem is i can only verify the bottom wash arm pumping. When and how does it divert to the upper wash arms? Thanks, tim
For model number GDF520PGD2WW
Hello Tim, Thank you for your inquiry. The diverter motor used to shift water from the bottom spray arm to the upper spray arm. The diverter valve or intake valve controls the pressure of the water going from the lower spray arm to the upper spray arm and will use a sensor controlled by the main control board to tell how much water to pump. So if it's not going from the lower spray arm to the upper spray arm it could be clogged or you could have a faulty sensor. Hope this helps!

Water is only coming out of the diverter valve that powers the lower spray arm. Is my next step to replace the diverter valve? Do i replace it from under the dishwasher? If this doesn't work, what is my next step? Thanks
For model number GDF510PGD0BB
Hi Chad, thank you for your question. The diverter valve is not an electrically powered part in any way, so what you could do is inspect the inside of the valve to see if it is blocked by any debris that would stop the water from circulating correctly. You would have to replace the part from underneath the dishwasher. If that is not the issue I would suggest going on to checking your circulation pump. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

This d/w will not divert water to top rack evan when you change it to spray top rack only
For model number Gdt580ssf0ss
Hello David, thank you for writing. This may be due to either a faulty Upper Spray Arm, part number PS11729217, or Water Valve Assembly, part number PS12342758 for your model. Good luck with your repair!

What size is the ring clamp on the diverter assembly? The rings that come with it cause a gap in the rubber seal causing it to continue to leak. Tried tightening the clamp but it easily tears the rubber seal and becomes garbage.
Thanks in advance!
For model number GDF540HMF4ES
Hi Matt,
Thank you for your question. There are 2 sizes of adjustable ring clamps that come with the diverter assembly. One measures approximately 1-3/4 inches and the other measures approximately 2-1/2 inches. If you have any questions, please let us know. We look forward to hearing from you!

Thanks for answering my question on the diverter valve. You mention it could be the circulation pump. What part # is that? Is that something I can easily replace myself? I forgot to mention that water is coming out very strong from the front hole in the diverter valve - not sure if that helps diagnose if the pump is good or not. It just does not come out of the back hole of the diverter pump (to power the middle and upper spray arms). Thanks so much!
For model number GDF510PGD0BB
Hi Chad,
Thank you for your question. The diverter motor is used to shift water from the bottom spray arm to the upper spray arm. The diverter valve or intake valve controls the pressure of the water going from the lower spray arm to the upper spray arm and will use a sensor controlled by the main control board to tell how much water to go to the pump. So, if it is not going from the lower spray arm to the upper spray arm, it could be clogged or you could have a faulty sensor. The circulation pump, part number WD35X10385, has been discontinued by GE and you will need to contact them for information on a replacement part. Their telephone number is 1-800-626-2005. If they provide you with a part number for the replacement part, you may call us back with it and we can verify if we have it available for you. You may also be able to locate the part you need by trying the following:
Using a search engine to type your part number and see if other retailers still have this part in stock.
Visiting online stores such as eBay and finding sellers that have this part.
Trying retailers and repair stores in your local area to see if they have the part in their inventory.
Talking to a local repair technician, who may have the part you need, or may be able to repair your existing part. Here is a link to one of our videos on YouTube that you may reference on how to install a circulation pump on a dishwasher, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYBYT1O730U. The dishwasher in the video may not show exactly like the one you have, but it will give you a general idea on how to install the part. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Water fills but does not circulate in the machine, i've changed the main computer board. The pump drains the machine when cycle is stopped.
For model number GDF510PGD1ww
Hello Mark, thank you for your question. We would recommend checking the diverter and circulation pump. If the board was replaced and the unit is still not circulating the water, the circ pump might be the issue. Unfortunately, that part has been discontinued by the manufacturer. I hope this helps!

My upper rack arm does not seem to be spin any longer. I had a repair tech come out and he says it's the diverter valve wd35x10386 needing replacing. He diagnosed that by just seeing the arm not spinning. Is that all i need to order is simply a new valve kit?
For model number GDT680SSH2SS
Hello Dale, thank you for inquiring. You should first check to see if the Pump is clogged up, because if it is then it won't put out enough pressure to operate properly. For your model the Wash Pump Kit is part PS12113191. This Diverter Assembly part PS7783379 may also be the cause.
