Replace oven gas safety valve.
It went really well until test when the flame was reaching up into the oven itself, not good. Much research finally found an older repairman who informed me the nozzle that injects the gas into the oven burner had to be fully screwed down for LP Gas. The unit is pre-set for Natural Gas. Tightened it all the way down and everything work
... Read mores just fine. We live rurally so use Liquid Propane Gas, not Natural Gas.

When i switch on the broil or bake the associated igniter glows but the broil or bake does not ignite. No smell of gas. Voltage across gas valves 3.2 volts. Do you think it’s the gas valve assembly asy316031501. Thanks for your help.
For model number Fggf3954mfj
Hello Ian, thank you for your question. The issue is probably the igniter itself, or the gas valve. If the igniter glows but doesn't draw enough power the gas valve will not open. We would recommend testing/replacing the igniter first. I hope this helps.

My oven will not maintain temperature. I replaced the ignitor but still not cooking correctly. Any suggestions?
For model number LGGF3043KFR
Hi Curtis, thank you for contacting us. We would suggest checking the temperature sensor, part number PS1528542, for continuity using a multimeter. The temperature sensor allows the oven to maintain the set temperature by sensing the temperature and sending the information to the oven's motherboard. We hope this helps, good luck with the repair!
When oven ignites theres a pop and the slight smell of gas but oven does ignite.
For model number FGGF3058RBA
Hello Tony,
Thank you for your question. If there is a slight smell of gas, its likely the regulator under part PS11700216 would need to be checked or possibly replaced. We hope this helps.
In reference to my previous email question on this model. Are you recommending valve part 17 in diagram or # 14 in diagram identified as a regulator? Your site indicates to see part # 17 in diagram
For model number FGEF3058RF
Hello and thank you for writing.
Loud pops or bangs that occur during preheating are caused by thermodynamics. The metal panels that make up your oven cavity naturally expand and contract as they heat up and cool down, which creates popping noises. This can also happen if you leave a metal pan in the oven or broiler as it preheats, causing the pan to warp and emit a startling, but not dangerous, loud bang.
Dirty or clogged igniters in a gas oven can cause loud bangs due to delayed ignition. What happens is, the gas builds up in the oven, then ignites all at once. If this happens, turn off the oven check the igniter and the valve PS5136194 which is the likely cause. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

I replaced the 316031501 Safety valve on my Frigidaire oven with a new one. I now realize they come set up for natural gas. I use LP gas. Is there a conversion kit or something to make this valve work on LP gas?
For model number FGGF3058RFC
Hello Bill, Thank you for the question. To convert the Valve you will just need to adjust the settings. No parts required. The cap on the valve will need to be removed and the Pin flipped. You may also need to adjust the Oven Vent shutters. We hope this helps! .

I recently replaced the broiler ignitor on my Frigidaire Gallery Model # DGGF3054KFR natural gas range. It would glow but get no gas. It is still doing that with the new part. The oven ignitor works and gets gas. What is the correct part to fix this problem?
For model number DGGF3054KFR
Hi John,
Thank you for your question. If your Igniter glows, but does not get any gas, you may have a faulty gas valve and it will need to be replaced. You should also check the temperature sensor and the electronic control board. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
What should the resistance be for the igniter and oven safety valve?
For model number FGGF3059TDA
Hello Dylan, thank you for reaching out. The oven igniter should have a resistance reading of somewhere between 80 and 175 ohms for a working igniter. The gas valve should have 1 to 1.5 ohms of resistance. We hope this helps.
