How do test the electronic control
For model number RTW4640YQ1
Hello Jerry, Thank you for your inquiry. First check all the connections to be board to make sure they are secure and no visual damage. Next, inspect the board itself for any visual damage. You can test it with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!

When washer is put into diagnostic mode, on the extra heavy and rinse/spin cycles I am getting an F7-E error code (alternates between fill, rinse, final spin, cycle complete lights illuminate- all lights out) on all other cycle selections only the fill indicator flashes on and off. Would this indicate a control board issue?
For model number RTW4640YQ1
Hi Charles, thank you for reaching out. The F7-E1 error code indicates that the motor can not achieve the correct speed for the cycle selection. Try resetting the machine by unplugging and re-plugging the power cord to the wall outlet. Restart the cycle. If the problem persists, we would recommend checking the gear case, part number PS16220913. It drives the agitator and spins the basket in the washer. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope that helps!
