Saved a ton!
As expected. Good part, but Samsung horrible design! Watched you tube video and did it myself. Saved $200 for part alone—Samsung repair quoted me $300 for same part!!! I will buy thru Partselect next time I need anything!!!

Debug to needed part was good and part high quality
The site was helpful to determine what part I needed. It shipped fast and was high quality part. I wish the site would have given instructions how to remove the old part...had to look that up on YouTube. Replaced part and works great.

The ice maker lever stopped functioning today. When pressed, only water comes out. It appears the "over-rider switch" preventing the water from flowing when queued for ice, has worn out. Am i correct in assuming this water/ice maker lever assembly replaces our malfunctioning unit, correcting our problem. If so, please confirm, provide instructions to r&r the assemblies, and i will order the assembly straightaway. Thank you
For model number RF4287HARS/XAA
Hi Robert,
Thank you for your question. Yes, it would more than likely be this part that you would have to replace. Unfortunately I was not able to find repair instructions on your part. You will have to contact Samsung directly for that information. In general though, most times you would use a putty knife or flat head screw driver to gently pop the dispenser housing out of place. First remove the grille at the bottom of your dispenser housing to make sure there are no screws there that you will have to remove. Then you should be able to unplug your old part from your dispenser control board and remove it from the dispenser housing. There may be a screw keeping it in, so look up underneath your dispenser housing to double check. You may need a flashlight. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

The ice lever broke, but just one of the pegs that holds the lever in place, not the electrical or anything else. It's hanging down a bit on one side. The water lever is fine. Can I just purchase a new lever with pegs to snap back in? Thank you!

Hi Suzanne, Thank you for the question. The lever is only sold as a assembly with the electrical parts, PartSelect Number: PS4175907. Hope this helps!

How do you install a ice/water door dispensing levers
For model number RF4287HA
Hi Greg,
Thank you for your inquiry. Make sure to disconnect power for your appliance and to turn off the water going to your fridge as well. Looking underneath your board in the dispenser cavity, there is one screw off to the right of the opening of your dispenser. That is the only screw that you will have to unscrew. There are tabs that hold the dispenser inside of the cavity. Press your shoulder against the door and pop the dispenser housing out of the cavity. You should be able to pull it out. One you do that, make sure to unplug the wiring from the dispenser to the fridge, you will then have access to replace this part. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

ice maker not making ice, water is coming.
For model number RF4287HARS/XAA
Hello Brian, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the water filter for clogging. If the issue remains, then you may need to check the ice maker assembly, part number PS5575307, to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
When we depress the water dispenser on the door it takes a few seconds for water to start flowing and then won't shut off when we stop pressing for almost 30 seconds.....have replaced the water valve but that did not fix the problem........could it be the dispenser assembly?
For model number RF4287HARS
Hello Mark, Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: micro switches, dispenser solenoid, dispenser lever assembly, the water filter, the control board and make sure that the tubes going to the water dispenser are not frozen, clogged or cracked. You can test the parts with a multimeter. Hope this helps!
