Easy Repair - So far seems to be the right part.
My Samsung fridge would ice up and then not provide sufficient cooling to keep the fridge contents from spoiling. I did several manual defrosts that would return the fridge to normal for a couple of weeks before freezing up again. When I searched on PartSelect for what the problem may be, they said 99% chance it's the Thermo Fuse Assembly. I liked those odds. It's been about 2 weeks now since I made the repair. The fridge is maintaining its temperature so far. Previously, it would have started getting warmer by now. If it maintains temp for another week, I'll know for sure that the problem is solved.

The fan keeps making noise on the refrigerator side when you open the door it stops making noise. But after a few days it stops making noise and the refrigerator side quits working. A repairman came out and told me unplug it for 24hrs and let the ice ball melt around the fan. Plug it in and it will Star working again 100$ for that information. Losing food and a real pain in the ass. Is it the evaporator fan motor part #ps4138376 or the thermo fuse assembly part #ps4140330 or something else?
For model number rs277acbp
Hello Tim, Thank you for your inquiry. PS4138376 is the evaporator fan motor, PS4138282 is the fan blade. Hope this helps!

The temp readout stayed constant and never beeped to signal temp was rising. Was not cooling however and inside was room temp. Is this a thermo fuse problem? Or is there a sensor involved too?
For model number Rb1855sw
Hello Melanie, thank you for inquiring. It is most likely the Temperature Sensor part number PS4138681 for your model. Good luck with your repair!

Fridge is on top, freezer is on the bottom model. Ice cream in the freezer will be very soft most of the time. freezer set to -10 f but does not freeze much below 20. Removed inside freezer panels to check freezer coil for ice build up- no ice found coils looked fine. Cleaned compressor coils (not that dirty) and the freezer still does not function well.
Some times the refrigerator on the top has a hard time staying cool also. Any ideas?
