My condenser fan seems to be running constantly. Refrigerator and freezer are maintaining set temperature, 2, 38. The fan makes a slight rhythmic chirp. I took of the back, cleaned everything, fan turns easily. Plugged it in, seemed like compressor came on and maybe a minute later the fan came on and the noise returned. I'd gladly buy a new motor and blade, if that could be the problem. I can't find a video that shows changing it on this model Samsung. Looked to be several screws holding the assembly to the fridge and at least. Two holding the motor to the housing. Also how does the fan remove from motor shaft. Thanks, randy sarteschi. 724 224 8999

Hello Randy, Thank you for your inquiry. Try checking the blade first to see if it turns easily and not catching on anything. You need a long Philips screwdriver, a flat blade screw driver, a short Philips screwdriver and a pair of needle nose plyers. Remove the access panel in the back with the Philips screwdriver. To replace the condenser fan motor, disconnect the harness plug, remove the drain tube out of the way, and using the smaller Philips screwdriver, take out the screw that holds the condenser motor housing. Slide the housing forward to release it from the clips and take it out. Place the needle nose plyers on the motor shaft to keep it from turning and using the flat blade screwdriver, pry the fan blade off. Remove the harness from the retainer clips and pull the harness back. Remove the Philips screw and using the flat blade screw driver detach the rear cover and lit it up pull out ht motor push on the locking tab and disconnect the harness and remove the grommets. Replace the grommets on both ends of the motor shaft, plug the harness back in the and pull it through the retainer clips and reattach the housing with the screw. Replace the fan blade and make sure it turns freely. Position the motor housing on the base and slide it back in under the clips. Using the small screwdriver, secure it with the Philips screw. Connect the harness plug and reconnect the drain tube. Hope this helps!

2-3 months ago the compressor fan stopped. I cleaned the coils which were filthy. The refrigerator quit cooling, the freezer maintained the proper temp. The fan started working but i found the condenser inside the refrigerator was badly iced over. I defrosted and it worked great. Now the compressor is working and temp is holding but ice is coming through the vents inside the fridge again. My guess is this is the condenser fan motor is out. Do you have any thoughts with this information?
