My microwave turns on and runs , but it is not heating at all . Could it be the thermostat or the fuse, or could it be both of them ? Thank you for you help.
For model number kenmore microwave 72166319500
Hi Andrea,
Thank you for your question. It could be either of those parts that could be causing your issue. You can test them with a multimeter to see which one is giving you the issue. However, working with microwaves can be quite dangerous because of the capacitor. It is suggested that you have a technician come and service your appliance. Good luck with your repair.

Was using microwave and it just quit. No display, nothing. Fuse checks good. Thought it might be thermostat. I jumpered across thermostat connection, fan comes on, no other function works, no display, just fan comes on. Any ideas? Is there only one thermostat on this model?
Hello Chris, Thank you for the question. This model number has two thermostats by the magnetron and two next to the fan Assembly. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
