This part is the replacement ice tray for your refrigerator. The tray is made of white plastic and is approximately 9 inches in length, and 3 inches in width. It has the capacity for 8 ice cubes. The ice tray can be filled up with water and is the mold that shapes the ice cubes. If your current ice tray is cracked, warped, or if mineral deposits have settled inside it, it may cause the ice cubes to stick. This part is sold individually and is an authentic OEM part.

Since there didn't seem to be a way to spread the ice maker mechanism apart to get the old ice tray out, I had to pry the old tray out and then Pread the 2 ends apart agin to get the new one in. Way afraid I'd break the plastic parts but there was just enough give for me to get the job done.
The OEM part matched the old one (except it wasn't warped). It came in a timely manner and works as intended (doesn't leak water that ends up freezing in a pile under the tray.)

The ice tray had warped and dumped water, which then froze down through the ice bucket and below.
To replace the warped tray, I found the service manual (pg. 124 below) which took some interpreting. Removed the lever. Then removed the assembly by two screws that are forward to the unit and go upwards. The insulation, sensor, and sensor cover are simply pulled down and off and the unit separated to removed the tray, and

How do i change ice tray on lsc26905tt fridge
Hi Lisa,
Thank you for your inquiry. This is a fairly easy repair. Before starting any repair, unplug the refrigerator. Also there is a button under the unit on the far right that allows ice to be released from the tray. Press it to release the ice to allow for easy removal of the tray. Disconnect the clip from the bottom of old tray and remove the wiring carefully from bottom of tray. Carefully pull the back end of unit that the tray is attached to, to allow one end of tray to disconnect from unit. Then do the same for the other end. This should allow your old tray to come out. Do the reverse when installing the new tray. Please note that once the power to the refrigerator is restored, it may take 24 hours before the ice maker starts to make ice again. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

How do I clean or replace just the ice cube tray. The original tray is covered in sediment from hard water and the cubes don't release. Then it refills on top of the frozen cubes that didn't dump out...and then I have a mess!
