Would this be the spring that i would need to replace to make the lid stay open on the dryer?
For model number GUD27ESSM1WW
Hello Dee, thank you for your question. No. This spring is for the Washer Lid. The dryer has a door. This door has Hinges PS8756812. The door stays closed with a Door Strike PS266893 and Catch PS3502777. We hope this helps.
I'm sorry I was asking about the washer machine ,not the dryer. I was looking to see if the spring is what I needed to fix the wash machine lid, or if you could guide me in the right direction. The lid on the wash machine will not stay up.
Thank you for your time.
For model number GUD27ESSM1WW
Hello Dee, thank you for your inquiry. Yes, you may need to replace the lid spring, part number PS3501425, to fix the issue. It applies tension on the lid and helps hold the lid open. We hope this information helps!
