The washer will only fill on "dark colors" and "rinse and spin" settings. We mostly use "towels sheets" cycle. It won't fill on the settings at all... just an "lf". i dirty old houses on it but put new ones on now. should l replace inlet water valve?

Hello John, thank you for your question. If the unit isn't filling on any cycle then the valve should be replaced, or tested first, then replaced if it fails that test. If the unit is only filling properly on some cycles and not others the issue would probably be the interface board which has, unfortunately, been discontinued. I hope this helps.

To test a "water inlet valve" - can I unplug the connectors and measure the resistance with a multi meter? You guys are awesome!

Hi John,
Thank you for your question. Here is a link from our website that you may reference on how to test a water inlet valve with a multimeter, https://www.partselect.com/Refrigerator+test-water-valve+repair.htm. This information can normally be found under the Instant Repairman link on our website either at the top of our home page or at the bottom of our home page under Free Repair Help. I hope this helps. Machine starts with initial fill, after about 10 minutes into cycle valve only hums and will not fill leading to an eventual lf error. Machine did get very wet when i had my sprinkler system blown out for the season. Sprinkler valve was not secure and a sudden force of pressure entered the line and blew off hose from supply line. Could there have been damage to electronic valve from excess pressure or would it be the main brain itself? Fill valve filters are clear and all electronics are dry.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for your inquiry. The dispenser and water inlet valve is just one of the parts you will need to check. You will also need to check the electronic machine and motor control board. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

When you turn on machine the water goes in for about 6 seconds then stops then it sounds like it starts to drain is their a way i can bring up a code ?
For model number wtw6600sb2
Hello Michael, thank you for your question. We have manuals on our site under the model information that might offer some help in getting the unit into a diagnostic mode. Usually if the unit goes from fill to drain, or fills and drains at the same time there is an issue with the siphon break kit PartSelect Number PS334490, or the water pressure sensor which is part of machine control board PartSelect Number PS11749893. We would also recommend checking the pressure hose that runs to the tub for any kinks, or breaks. I hope this helps!
