It Worked Out
I ordered the part on Monday the 11th. The part was supposed to arrive on Friday, the 15th per the original tracking estimate. It did arrive in my neighboring State (Pennsylvania) on Thursday the 14th, but after it didn't arrive yet on Saturday the 16th, I called your customer service line. The Rep told me that I was promised delivery in 3-7 days and it is now expected to be delivered on Tuesday the 19th. The part came in a cardboard box and was rattling very loosely. I opened the box and there was a piece of styrofoam under the part, but nothing above it. One of the solenoids was not attached to the Valve and laying loose in the box. Another solenoid had a bent terminal. Not very impressive, but I was able to put it back together, get it installed, and (so far) it is working alright.

Original part had a split and was leaking
The repair went very easily. Maytag/Whirlpool really makes these types of repairs simple, just need basic tools. If you leave the wiring harness on the old inlet valve and just remove the connectors from the control unit, you can reference it when plugging in the new harness after the new inlet valve is installed. Will this fix my washer. It want fill but everything works. Neither the cold nor cold fill cycles will work
For model number Mvwb400vqo
Hi Hugh,
Thank you for your question. If the washer is not filling with water, then the issue is likely with the water inlet valve. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hello, the fabric softener dispenser on my top load washing machine is no longer dispensing. The detergent and bleach dispensers are working without issues. After opening the washing machine, i have removed the fabric softener tray and hose, flushed it clear with water, and it continues to not dispense. Will replacing the water inlet valve with wire harness correct this?
For model number WTW6600SB3
Hi Duy, thank you for your question. The parts to check for this problem after cleaning out the area would be your water inlet valve. You can test that part with a multi meter to make sure it is working correctly. It should be reading between 500 - 1500 ohms. If that part is fine then the issue might actually be in your control board. I hope that helps. Good luck with you repair.

Looking for the wire harness for the water inlet valve
For model number MDB8959SAS1
Hi Antonio. You would need to buy the entire wiring harness. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!
There is no cold water being delivered into the washer. Get a Lf message during cycle and when running the automatic diagnostic water is leaking out onto the floor during the cold water cycle. Will the water inlet valve replacement likely take care of this?
For model number wtw6700tw1
Hi Mike, thank you for reaching out. We have found that the lf error code indicates that the washer is taking too much time to fill the tub. If cold water is not being delivered into the washer, it may be due to the defective water inlet valve, part number PS3490233. If your water inlet valve is defective, the washer will take more time to fill and display lf error code. You may need to check the water inlet valve to fix the issue. We hope this information helps!

I was able ouch in the left clip to lift the top of the machine, but i cannot push in the right clip. It won't budge. Any suggestions?Thank you,
bob
For model number 110. 28062800
Hello Bob, thank you for your question. If the clip is stuck in the top you may need to use a flat putty knife and rubber mallet to hit the clip and push it back inside the unit to release. This may break the clip, which may be the only way to remove it unfortunately. I hope this helps!
