Exactly as advertised
The part arrived exactly as advertised. It was the correct part for the appliance. Quality and timely service. The shipping fee was a little too high. Makes me wonder if they try to advertise a lower cost and make up the difference with the fee? 5 stars if the shipping fee was normal.

Parts diagram may be backwards
GE microwave jvm6175ek1es completely dead, tested fuses 12 and 13 in the diagram. 12 tested no continuity and 13 tested positive continuity. So i ordered the one that was showing no continuity thinking it was bad. Got the part (part 12 in diagram) and it was the wrong one. Different sized terminals on the fuse. Called partselect and they made it right, full refund and very helpful. The fuse was the same size as part 13 so thinking the diagram was backwards i ordered part 13 and behold it was the right size fuse. Just beware when ordering they may be backwards. Sorry if this is confusing. This did not fix my problem however, so i dug deeper into the microwave. Had continuity on cavity fuse. No continuity on magnetron tco which is deep inside microwave above the magnetron. Ordered it and received it. Tested the new one and it had continuity. Put it in and my problem was solved!!! Microwave works like a champ again! Test all the fuses in the microwave and keep in mind parts 12 and 13 may be mixed up and that only one of those fuses being 12 and 13 have continuity and the other doesnt. Hope this helps someone! Thanks! Oh and remember be careful when working in the microwave and please unplug and discharge capacitor, research and watch youtube on how to be safe about it!

Total power loss of microwave
GE slate microwave approximately 2 years old. Completely dead. Power to outlet was good, no gfci was tripped. Started checking fuses, 250v ceramic fuse good, two fuses at the bottom behind the control panel. One on the left labeled 12 on the diagram tested no continuity. One on the right labeled 13 tested good with continuity. So i figure
... Read mored number 12 was bad. Got the part and turns out to be the wrong fuse. Part number was the same but the terminals were the wrong size. Im pretty sure GE has the diagram labeled wrong because i ordered number 13 and it was the right size. Just an FYI if you are ordering those fuses for your microwave that 12 and 13 on the diagram may be reversed. Anyway received the right fuse and tested the new fuse and it tests open continuity and did not fix my issue. Microwave is still dead. There are two other fuses in the back that i need to check so hopefully i find the issue. Hope this helps someone, remember one fuse behind the control panel tests open and the other tests closed and thats how it is suppose to function.

My microwave oven died, like when a circuit breaker cuts it off.. except the circuit breaker did not cut off. i removed the thermostat but i cannot find the exact part number that is stamped on the one i removed. it is: 1505 ksd-140lc. what exact part is the replacement for that particular thermostat?
For model number DVM7195SF1SS
Hi Bob,
Thank you for your inquiry. If your microwave is not turning on, then there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the secondary door switch, the monitor door switch, the thermostat and the main control board. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

While cooking thanksgiving dinner, we had all the burners below on cooking and the microware just turned off completely. I check the power and it is fine so the house breaker didn't trip. I suspect the microwave got too hot. I was thinking that it is the vent thermostat that tripped ( #16 on drawing). Is this a good place to start. If so, is it accessible from the bottom or do i have to disassemble the whole unit?
For model number PVM9179DK1BB
Hello Ken and thanks for writing.
That should be the correct place to start and you would have to access it from the top panel. Your manual should be helpful or u tube. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

Microwave will not turn on or turn table will not turn. All functions are working. All lights are on. Timer will count down. Entire panel board is working. I checked the ceramic fuse, it has continuity. The bottom micro switch which is n.O. Tested bad i can see where it has melted a little. I am going to replace this. But the question is. There are two thermal fuses side by side in he front. The right side one has continuity and will beep. The left one has nothing.( is this normal for this one) or does this one turn on and off depending temp. Does it need to be changed. Or could there be something else??? thanks, brian

Vent fan came on on its own and won't shut off disconnected the power waited a while and turned it on now it works again?
For model number JVM1540DP1CC
Hi Anthony,
Thank you for your question. Sometimes that is all it takes to fix the issue. It is likely there was a little glitch in your control switch and by unplugging it and reconnecting it you have reset the switch for it to work again. If the problem persists though, you would likely have to replace the control. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
