How do I access fan? My steam sensor is telling me it needs something. Although we bought the Microwave in 2019, installed in March 2020 after new cupboards were installed, only used in 2nd home til June 2020. We were not able to return for 2020 winter because of Covid so it was only used for 3 months. When we returned, the steam sensor does not work and I wonder if it is just loose. I want to check.

Hi Genny,
Thank you for your question. The sensor is located on the corner of the blower fan. To access the blower fan, you will need to unplug the microwave from the electrical outlet and remove it from the under the cabinet. Once the microwave has been removed from under the counter, remove the outer panel from it. Once the outer panel has been removed, you will need to discharge the capacitor before attempting to access the sensor as it can still store electricity even though the microwave has been unplugged. Here is a link from our website that you may reference for information on how to discharge the capacitor, https://www.partselect.com/Microwave+discharge-capacitor+repair.htm. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.
My microwave is above the stove. I am getting a seam sensor replacement error message. How will I replace this? Can I do it myself?
For model number JVM7195EK1ES
Hi Kathy, thank you for your inquiry. If your microwave is giving steam sensor fault, then you probably have an issue with the steam sensor, part number PS237391. To replace the sensor, you may need to remove the top panel from the microwave by un-threading the screws. Once you removed the top panel, you will have access to the sensor, which is located on the left side at the top. To remove the sensor, you can just pull it out and snap in the new sensor. We hope this solves your problem!
