My GE oven large burner control is on high heat even when in another setting, does the (infinite switch control) control this temperature selection. It happens on the large burner only.... should I replace this part?

Thank you for your question. Generally yes, although I would suggest testing your switch and your element to be sure. You can test those parts with a multi meter. When testing you switch, make sure to put it in the on position. If you do not get any readings at all while testing it then the switch is bad. When testing your burner, it should read anywhere between 0 - 120 ohms of resistance. If it does not, the part will need to be replace. Good luck with your repair.
