Large 3 element burner quit and hot temp light stayed on constant
Thought it was the switch, being 2 of the wires were burnt. After troubleshooting, and determining the burner was getting power from the switch, but still not working, I ohmed the elements on the burner. There was no continuity through the elements. Checked the contacts in the temperature probe in the burner. The contacts were open, be

Had to put new ends on the wires that were burnt also. This is the second time we had to replace this burner. The first time, the large burner element broke. Little disappointed that these burners don't last longer. We bought the stove new, but it was out of warranty when the burners quit.

All 3 size burners on triple element burner quit working. Hot stop top indicator on at all times. Is it switch or burner ?
For model number GE JB750DF2CC
Hello John, thank you for your question. The switch is the most likely issue. You can test the switch to be sure that is the issue. Here is a link that will show you how to test that switch. https://www.partselect.com/Range-Stove-Oven+Infinite-Switch-Testing+repair.htm. I hope this helps!

does this switch infinite control ps2359866 work with my model large element
For model number pb960ej7es
Hi Ron, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, this part is not compatible with your model. The model you provided is a knob-free model, and it comes without an infinite switch, so you will need to replace the entire oven control and overlay assembly, part number PS12725915. We hope this information is useful!
Is this the correct part for the 11 inch 3 element burner? The temperature will not regulate; all 3 elements heat to high and will not lower the temperature.
For model number JB870TF2WW
Hello Pat, thank you for reaching out. Yes, the part you refer to is the surface element control switch, part number PS2359866. It turns the surface element on and off and controls how much heat the element produces. We hope this information helps!

The center element in the triple haliant element has stopped working. Your trouble shooting helpline indicated the element is the problem most of the time but goes on to say to check the infinite switch. Is it most likely the element of the switch?
For model number PB975SP3SS
Hi John, thank you for your question. It could be either part. You would have to test both parts with a multi meter to determine which one is giving you the issue. For the switch, you will have to remove it from your appliance. Be sure to take a photo of the way the switch is wired into your appliance before removing it so that you can have it as a reference for later. You need a multi meter to test this part. After removing it, press each prong to the terminals and turn the switch to an on position. If your meter shows 0 ohms, the switch is working. For the element, you will have to remove that part to test it as well. When testing the coil terminals you should be getting a reading between 0 - 120 ohms for the part to be working. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
