What is the condition that this bracket corrects? If it is broken what will be happening to the washing machine?
Thank you.

Hello Rita, thank you for reaching out. The part you have mentioned is the heating element support bracket. It holds the heating element in place. If it is broken, the heating element may damage the other parts of the washer. We hope this information is useful!

Do you know if the bracket is broken it would cause the "spin" cycle to make a noise when if the load happens to be uneven? Loud "clacking noise" is not continual. 4 new shock absorbers- checked springs good- belt not weak or broken.
Thanks.

Hi Rita, thank you for getting in touch. As all the other parts are fine, the loud noise during spin cycle can occur because of the broken heater support and the heating element as well. We would suggest replacing the heater support, part number PS2355567, to fix the issue. We hope that helps!
