The door stop located on the bottom hinges has a semi circular slot that the mounting screw goes through. If i loosen the screw and turn the stop will that stop the door from opening 180 degrees?

Hi Phil, thank you for your question. It is your door stop so moving that little lip will likely change the stop angle of your door. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

In a previous answer you agreed with me on the part in question. It should be an adjustable door stop, however it does not work. I have tried it numerous times and the weight of the door just causes the part to rotate to the fully open (180 degree) position. I tried to tighten the screw down as much as possible but it still slides back. It's a poor design that should have a locking washer. I would like to try it but I am afraid if it slips eventually it will dent our doors and hit our double oven doors. When I called Frigidaire there was no one that could talk to me that has any technical background. Any suggestions?

Hi Phil,
Thank you for your question. If you tried to adjust the door stop and it did not work, there may be something else causing the issue. Check the hinges and the door cams to see if there are any issues with them. Also, check and make sure that the refrigerator is level. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
