My washer is making a loud roaring noise during the spin cycle. Is there anyway to change just the tub bearings without buying the whole $320 assembly?
For model number Gtw680bsj3ws
Hi Patrick, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, bearings do not come separately, you have to replace the whole platform bearing retainer & fasteners. If this is not fixing the issue, then you need to check the drive belt and clutch, if they are faulty replace them with part numbers PS11736832 and PS11729473 respectively. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order, anyone will be happy to assist you. We hope that helps.
My washer will start to spin then cancel after about 10 seconds. I noticed when spinning the tub empty by hand that the tub is not concentric with the stationary tub ring. I would describe it as a wobble in relation to the tub ring. What would cause this?
For model number GTW680BSJ0WS
Hello Austin, thank you for contacting us. The issue appears to be due to faulty shock absorbers. You may need to replace the left shock absorber, part number PS12343381, and the right shock absorber, part number PS12343380. We hope this helps.
