My evaporator keeps freezing over every few weeks. I have changed both Temperature sensors. Could this heater be my problem? or should I just get a new evaporator/ Thanks for any help
For model number Gfe28hshdss
Hello Mike, thank you for contacting us. The defrost heater in the evaporator can be a culprit. We would also recommend checking the door gasket, part number PS16226511, and making sure no humid and warm air is leaking into the freezer because dehumidification of warm air can lead to icing on the evaporator. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!

Refrigerator occasionally dumps water onto floor in front of the unit.
The refrigerator and freezer comparts both work well. There is no water line to this refrigerator and no ice maker. Hence, The water must be condensation. is there a drainage path I can follow to detect where the water is leaking from? how to go about troubleshooting?
For model number PWE23KAKGSS
Hi Larry, thank you for reaching out. There are a lot of reasons for water leaking on the floor, like an improperly levelled fridge. A blockage in this drain can also cause condensation to collect on the coils and water to drip onto the floor. Unclogging the drain should eliminate the leak. Water leaking from the water filter can also wind up under the crisper drawers and drip from the door, so check the water filter for leaks and replace any damaged tubes. It is also possible that a door gasket is damaged. A door gasket that does not form a proper seal to the refrigerator frame will allow warm, humid air to enter the refrigerator or freezer compartment. This can create condensation, which can then leak out of the gap between the gasket and frame onto the floor. You should inspect the refrigerator door gasket, part number PS12710376, and freezer door gasket, part number PS16226511, for any tears or twists and replace the gasket if necessary. We hope this solves your problem!
