My dryer will not do anything. I have checked the door switch, start switch,
Broken belt switch, and the fuse. Is there any thing else it could be besides
The motor and is there any way to test the motor.
For model number GTD42EASJOWW
Hello joe, thank you for your question. Disconnect the motor's two wire leads from the wiring harness. Set your multimeter to the R x 1 setting. Touch each of the meter's probes to one terminal each. Your motor should show little resistance (a reading of zero, or close to zero). Now check the ground connection. Place one probe on the bare metal housing of the motor. Place the other probe on each terminal, one at a time. You should not receive any reading on your meter from this test.
If your dryer's motor fails either of these tests, you will have to replace it. If the motor is good, it could be your timer. Part number PS11763064. We hope this helps.
What is the current draw for just the motor, NOT including the heating elements.
For model number GTD42EASJ2WW
Hello Brian, thank you for reaching out. The drive motor you mentioned, part number PS12743452, requires 4.8 amperes current. Glad to be of assistance!

For model number gtd72ebsnows
Hello Gary, Thank you for your inquiry. In order to provide any recommend parts or repair information, what symptom are you experiencing? You can also pull the drum out and check for any visible damage to the parts underneath it and test them with a multimeter. We look forward to hearing from you.
