Can the heater be replaced with out removing the tub?
For model number WM2487HWM
Hi Mark, thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the heater can be replaced without removing the tub. Once you remove the top of the washer and the front panel, you can easily locate the heater under the washer bowl. You will need to remove the left and right connection points for the thermistor and the green ground wire first. Remove the two nuts holding the ground wire. Tap the threaded bolt inward, which will release the locking ring on the gasket. After releasing the locking ring, you need to grab the heater carefully and slowly put it out. We hope this information helps!

Is this for the steam element under the bowl or the other element in the lower rear of the washer? Or are they the same?
Thanks
For model number WM3700HVA
Hello Greg, thank you for getting in touch. The heating element you mentioned is located in the bottom area of the washer beneath the tub. It heats the water for the wash cycles. We hope this information helps!
